Popmoney® Personal Payment Service to Sunset in June
Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank’s third-party digital banking provider has announced its plan to phase out the Popmoney® service on June 30, 2023. Popmoney will no longer be accessible within online and mobile banking to send or receive payments after that date. We will replace this service with Zelle® at a later date.
IMPORTANT: The sunset of Popmoney will not impact the eZ Pay Bill Payment service. Online bill payment will continue to be available.
If you use Popmoney to send payments to friends and family, you will need to choose a new personal payment service, such as Zelle, for payments after June 30, 2023. Be sure to make the recipient aware of your new payment arrangement.
We recommend that you cancel any recurring future dated Popmoney payments before June 30, 2023. For your convenience, if you will need to reuse contact and payment information that is stored within Popmoney, we also recommend that you retrieve and save that information prior to June 30, 2023.

What is Popmoney?
Popmoney is a service within online and mobile banking used to send money to other people. It is an optional service located within the bill payment platform.
What does Popmoney sunsetting mean?
Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank’s third-party digital banking provider has announced its plan to phase out the Popmoney service on June 30, 2023. Popmoney will no longer be accessible within online and mobile banking to send payments to other people after that date. Payments that are processed prior to 6:00pm on June 30, 2023 will be completed. Future-dated payments will not be completed after 6:00pm on June 30, 2023.
What do I need to do before Popmoney is no longer available?
If you use Popmoney to send payments to friends and family, you will need to choose a new service, such as Zelle, for payments after June 30, 2023. Be sure to make the recipient aware of your new payment arrangements.

Does Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank offer an alternative payment service?
We plan to offer Zelle within our online and mobile banking platforms at a later date. In the meantime, we recommend you use the stand-alone Zelle app or another service to make personal payments. We are also happy to help you make payments using one of the following WGSB solutions:
- Bill Pay allows you to pay bills and send money to those you trust.
- External Funds Transfer allows you to transfer money between accounts you have with us and accounts you have at other financial institutions. (To access this service, click on ‘Transfer’ within online banking or ‘Transfer & Pay’ within the mobile app).
- Wire transfers (fees apply)
