While our branches are limited to drive-up only access or reduced hours, we want you to know that our lending staff remains working and here for you, whether in the office or remotely from home.

If you are experiencing financial issues that may impact your ability to make your loan payments at our bank, we encourage you to contact us soon.  We will work to find creative solutions to assist you whenever possible.  If you are not having financial issues today, but are concerned that things may change for you, please also contact us.  Understanding your options, should things change, may bring some peace of mind to you, and peace of mind is something we’d like to help you find. 

For business clients, in addition to how we might be able to help you with your loans with us, we are also your resource for accessing the variety of options offered by the U.S. Small Business Administration and other entities.  Please call your loan officer by dialing his or her direct number or by email. Temporary Lobby Closures & Reduced Hours

Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank is joining our local community and nation to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.  

All offices of Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank will continue to provide normal drive-up and ATM services, as applicable.  Beginning Thursday, March 19, most bank lobbies will be temporarily closed, with the exception of the Lisbon and Lancaster offices, which will remain open on reduced schedules and for teller service only. The Woodsville/Walmart office will be closed, however its ATM and night drop will continue to be monitored. 

In making these changes, we will shift as much personal contact as possible to telephone, email, regular mail, and online channels, to allow for the physical distancing recommended by health and safety officials. Many of our employees will be working remotely from home, so this will allow them to continue to serve your needs, while protecting themselves and their family members.  Please remember the many ways we provide you to bank remotely too, including online and mobile banking, online account opening, Mobile Deposit, ATMs, telephone banking, and more.

We want to assure you that our branch, lending, and call center staff are ready and able to serve you. Loan customers, if you’d like to make an appointment to meet with your lender, please call their branch office or visit our website for their direct number (for commercial lenders, go to Business/Loans/Commercial Lending Team; for residential lenders, go to Personal/Loans/Mortgage Center/Team Directory).  If you need to speak with us about your accounts or any other banking needs, please call your local branch or 800-564-2735, so we can connect you with the right person to help.

To safe deposit customers who need to access their boxes, please contact the appropriate branch to make an appointment for a visit.  A member of our staff will be happy to let you in and assist you.

Lisbon & Lancaster Office Hours

So that we can continue to serve customers of offices that do not have a drive-up, the Lisbon and Lancaster offices will remain open for teller service only and on a reduced schedule.  Effective March 18, their hours are as follows:

Lisbon:

Monday-Wednesday: 2:00pm-4:00pm

Thursday and Friday: 2:00pm-6:00pm

Saturday: 9:00am-12:00pm 

Lancaster:

Monday-Wednesday: 2:00pm-5:00pm

Thursday and Friday: 2:00pm-6:00pm

Saturday: 9:00am-12:00pm

Sunday: Closed

  • Online account opening for personal savings, checking, and CD accounts.
  • Mobile deposit* for depositing checks to your WGSB accounts – now fee free
  • Express Transfers for transferring funds between your WGSB accounts and accounts at other financial institutions.
  • Branch ATMs for getting cash and depositing cash and checks.

While the potential local health impact of the COVID-19 virus is unknown, one thing is clear: we need to work together – and stick together – to get through this difficult time.  School and business closings, event postponements, and creative, alternate solutions to “business as usual” at senior centers, restaurants, and more, show that our North Country, regional, and national communities are ready to do what is needed to “flatten the curve” and put COVID-19 behind us.  It also shows that we’re willing to do some hard things to do good for each other.
