Health Benefits

Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank makes available to all full-time employees a highly competitive health care policy. The bank currently pays the premium for a high deductible health plan. The employee contributes a small percentage of the premium for individual HMO coverage. The employee has the option of adding any member of their family to the plan at their own expense.

Job Description:
  1. Greets customers in a courteous and professional manner as they enter the bank.
  2. Ensures prompt, efficient service to customers in the performance of all duties; utilizes tact and experience-based knowledge to resolve customer complaints; explains specific policies and procedures; further assists all lobby customers in their needs.
  3. Opens new accounts, explains titling options, trust accounts and investment services. Actively cross-sells the bank’s products and services in a professional manner. Gathers needed information from the customer, transfers funds from existing accounts, and/or obtains funds from other sources. Verifies checks for authenticity and proper endorsement. Prepares all paperwork and assists the customer in the signing of all necessary documents. Receives initial deposit and ensures that all new accounts are properly processed. Adhere to CSR Error policy.
  4. Manages changes to existing accounts, explains titling options, trust accounts and investment services. Counsels customers on changes of ownership and terms.
  5. Performs a variety of clerical duties which require knowledge of department procedures, such as maintaining signature card follow-up list, checking accuracy on internal records generated on new accounts opened, inputting file maintenance information, the placing of holds when required, death of account holder cautions and so forth.
  6. Generally assigned supervisor override capabilities.
  7. Completes the opening, maintenance, closing and any distributions for IRA accounts, completes all necessary documentation and file maintenance as required by law and procedure.
  8. Performs various Consumer Loan Responsibilities.
  9. Completes all arrangements and documents for such services as direct deposit, telephone transfers, account assignments, savings dividend orders, and other information cards or forms necessary to insure customer account accuracy.

  11. Attends all necessary training on policy, procedure and Bank products as received from management or operations, to assure that customer service personnel are kept informed and up to date. This would also include any specialized training offered.
  12. May serve as backup for:
    • Reviewing daily overdraft decisions and/or exception items
    • Monitoring deficit balance accounts and communicating with customers
    • Maintaining non-interest income by limiting fee/service charge reversals
  13. Maintains sufficient supplies for the branch from the appropriate sources and assures that the customer service areas are maintained with sufficient materials to assure accurate policy and procedural information for customers and service personnel.
  14. Answers all customer service related mail.
  15. Provides backup teller services when needed to handle the customer traffic.
    • Performs teller duties, such as accepting stop-payment orders, closing out rentals of safe deposit boxes, handling wire transfer authorizations, filing, redeeming bonds and assisting tellers in balancing.
  16. Performs additional duties as requested.
